abstract

an analytical equation of state has been previously modified by papari et al. for representing the volumetric properties of molecular fluids. however the performance of that eos has not been yet well investigated for refrigerant fluids. this study extended that equation to 19 liquid refrigerants to predict their densities at isothermal and saturated states. two temperature-independent parameters appearing in the modified eos are closely related to critical point properties of refrigerant fluids. our results showed that, the proposed eos can predict well isothermal and saturated liquid destinies of studied refrigerants over the temperature and pressure range from 137-400 k and 0.001-1870 bar, with aads equal to 2.16% and 2.66%, respectively.

Modified Equation of State Applied to Refrigerants: Part II

The present work is the successful extension of an improved equation of state (EOS) to refrigerant fluids. The objective is the prediction of isothermal and saturated liquid densities of refrigerants. Two temperature-independent parameters appearing in the modified EOS are closely related to critical point properties of refrigerant fluids. Our results showed that, the proposed EOS can predict w...

Modified F-Expansion Method Applied to Coupled System of Equation

A modified F-expansion method to find the exact traveling wave solutions of  two-component nonlinear partial differential equations (NLPDEs) is discussed. We use this method to construct many new solutions to the nonlinear Whitham-Broer-Kaup system (1+1)-dimensional. The solutions obtained include Jacobi elliptic periodic wave solutions which exactly degenerate to the soliton solutions, triangu...

Prediction of PVT Properties of Pure Refrigerants Using ISM Equation of State

A three-parameter cubic equation of state has been proposed for predicting PVT of pure refrigerantssuch as R236ea, R236fa, R245fa, R245ca, R218, R227ea, and R717, from freezing point up to critical pointtemperature and pressures up 650 atm. We explore the theory of the equation of state from the view pointof Ihm–Song–Mason (ISM) equation of state, which has been derived on the basis of statisti...
